Removing past events from your store helps maintain accuracy, improve user experience, and promote the overall health and effectiveness of your online presence. It is an essential practice for any business looking to establish a professional and engaging storefront.
Now there are instances where events will still show on your store even after archiving the event.
When archived events are still showing on the site, here are the things that you need to check:
1. Make sure that the event status is set to Draft. Here’s an article to guide you with changing the event status to draft - Removing an Event from Your Shopify Store.
2. Ensure that the Shopify product associated with the event has not been removed from your Shopify store. When you create an event using the app, it automatically generates a corresponding product on your Shopify store. This product page serves as the interface for customers to view and purchase tickets for the event.
Deleting the Shopify product can result in an error where the event continues to display on your storefront, even if its status is changed to draft or if it's deleted within the Evey app.
If you discover that the event's product has been deleted from your Shopify store, please contact us immediately so that we can assist in removing the event from your storefront. This ensures that your storefront remains accurate and up-to-date for your customers.
